[January joint practice session, 1st day]
The January practice session will be held over two consecutive days, from January 21st (Sat) to January 22nd (Sun).
When we arrived in Fukushima City, it was snowing lightly.
At this practice session, a film crew was present for an advertising campaign by the National Federation of Mutual Aid Agricultural Cooperatives (JA Zenkyoren), a long-time supporter of the Tohoku Youth Orchestra.
At the morning orientation, we received a greeting from Mr. Kawamura, Deputy Director of the Agriculture and Community Activities Support Department of the JA Zenkyoren National Headquarters.
Deputy Director Kawamura frequently visits practice sessions and gives words of encouragement to the members.
We filmed the members practicing and chatting during breaks.
On the first day, we focused on practicing Mahler's Symphony No. 5.
We also took advantage of the lunch break to film interviews with the members.
Four members answered the interview questions on behalf of the group.
↓Violinist Ayaka Kikuchi.
↓ Trombone player Kota Kaizu
↓Violinist Mizuki Sato
↓Contrabassist Yuri Tanno
By the way, the filming started in the morning when the members gathered at the venue, and the cameraman followed the members from the time they headed to the Fukushima Minpo Hall. Thank you for taking part so early in the morning.
Thank you to all the members who were interviewed. The other members were also photographed by professional photographers during the performance, which may have created a different atmosphere than usual.
I will report back on today's video once it is completed.

Once again, kind alumni came to support us, bringing gifts.

During the performance, alumni watched over them with warm eyes.

The blonde duo playing the double bass are Yamazaki Hirohiro and Isogai.
A photo of all the former captains, Isogai and horn player Tajima.
(While the secretariat staff was trying to capture "two shots that you just want to take," there were a lot of photos of former Captain Isogai.)
After practice, the team from outside Fukushima Prefecture traveled by bus to their accommodation for the night.
↓Photo of the group seeing everyone off taken from inside the bus.
This time, I stayed at Surikamitei Otori, a lodging and resort facility run by the JA Kyosai Group.
We appreciate your help during the training camp period in February and March every year. Thank you very much.
Dinner at the inn.
As is customary for the training camp, the person who will be randomly selected by the secretariat staff to say "Itadakimasu" (thank you for the meal) will be Kotaro Kanae, a second-year junior high school student who joined the group in the 8th term, and Momo Kato, a second-year junior high school student who joined the group in the 8th term, will be the person who will say "Gochisousama deshita" (thank you for the meal). I asked Hyaku-san.
This concludes the report for the first day.
Members of the group, let's do our best tomorrow on the second day!
