Here's a report from the Morioka performance on Saturday, March 30th!
From here, the three consecutive days of performances began. In this report, I would like to tell you about the Morioka performance.
The first photo is of the dress rehearsal. The guest for the Morioka performance is Non.
He recited a poem to the accompaniment of the song "Still Life."
During the break, the troupe members presented Non with a message album to express their gratitude for the performance.
We all wrote this together during practice breaks!
(↑Let's take a commemorative photo!)
Non-san brought us some Ragnoo "Polo Chocolat" as a gift. It was very delicious and very popular with the members! Thank you very much, Non-san.
After the dress rehearsal, the members were presented with music sheet covers.
This music cover was made by Ms. Aoiko Ishii, a member of the band, whose family runs a printing business. The design was done by graphic designer Rikako Nagashima.
Director Ryuichi Sakamoto signed each and every sheet of music cover for all the members!
During the lunch break, we received some lunch boxes from the JA Kyosairen Iwate Prefecture Headquarters. They were "mochi mochi bento" lunch boxes made with local Iwate ingredients!
Recharge your energy with a packed lunch before the big day!
Then we change into our performance costumes.
The members are wearing scarves, which have become a common icon of the Tohoku Youth Orchestra.
Both scarves were designed by Rikako Nagashima. Since their first concert in March 2016, all the band members have been wearing them, and they have been arranged in a variety of ways by the band members, such as as ribbons, pocket squares, as ties, or wrapped around their instruments.
There's also this playful shot of conductor Mr. Yanagisawa!
Meanwhile, a line of customers had formed before the doors opened...
And finally the doors open!
Alumni are helping out as reception staff.
By the way, here is the pamphlet I gave you.
It's hard to tell from the photo, but the cover is a deep green color, like a chalkboard.
This is a photo of the lobby concert.
In the lobby, there is also an exhibition of panels recording TYO's activities, created by our sponsor, JA Zenkyoren.
Many customers also visited the "Real Crowdfunding" booth.
Depending on the amount of your donation, you will receive TYO original goods as a thank you gift.
We are also conducting crowdfunding on TYO's official website.

And this is a poster for "Volunteer Concert Supporters" created by members of the orchestra.
TYO Volunteer Concert Supporters can join for a monthly membership fee of 800 yen.

For those who have registered as supporters, we will send you an email newsletter every Friday containing information about volunteer concerts, impressions from volunteer members who participated in the concerts, and photos of each section's enthusiasm for the regular concert in March and what to listen for.
TYO's operating expenses are covered by donations and various other forms of support from companies and individuals.
We would appreciate your support through " Crowdfunding " and " Volunteer Concert Supporters ."
Backstage, the fanfare team made final checks with the stage manager to ensure everything was going smoothly.
And finally the performance begins! Director Ryuichi Sakamoto and host Mari Watanabe welcome them onto the stage.
Backstage during the show. This is a photo of Fujita Salem right after he performed "Concertino for solo Trumpet with Strings Orchestra" composed by Tomizawa Yuta! This is a photo of him and his senior Nakamura Yuto.
And the performance ended safely!
The auditorium was filled all the way up to the third floor. We received warm applause from the audience.
Thank you very much for coming.
After the performance, without even time to soak in the afterglow, the members hurried off to Tokyo.
When we left the hall, it was snowing, which was hard to believe it was the end of March...
On the Shinkansen, we all ate our bento dinner together.
We are staying at the BumB Tokyo Sports and Culture Center in Tokyo. The performance is still going on, so we'll be getting a good night's rest.
We will report on the recording of the Tokyo performance, "Untitled Concert" in this report.
