This is a report on the 5th joint training session held in October.

This is a report on the 5th joint training session held in October.

The joint practice session on October 7th started with a gift from Sato-chan , a junior high school student playing violin (with hand performances by horn player Tajima-senpai ), and then members of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra came to help out, for a section practice.

Woodwind: Mr. Hironobu Nayuki

Brass: Masahiro Yamauchi

Percussion: Yuko Funasako

And string instruments: Masayuki Miyagawa

Speaking of Professor Miyagawa, the book "Fun Orchestra Encyclopedia" was recently published under the supervision of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. Tohoku Youth is featured in this book!

Thank you for taking up my story. (This is a scene of Tohoku Youth student Hazuki being instructed by Professor Miyagawa. I hope you will pick up a copy of the book!)

Each teacher gave enthusiastic lessons.

There are six months left until the concert in March. Section practice is planned to continue after this date in order to make the concert even better than previous years.

And speaking of enthusiastic lessons, we saw a scene like this today.

While watching the section leaders' morning meeting from afar, Mana and Mahiro sensei were giving a violin class for young people. (They are both university students of Tohoku Youth, so they are quite young.)

Interaction across generations. A scene typical of Tohoku Youth.

And there was another scene that was typical of Tohoku Youth. Just before the joint practice session ended, the mother of Yukiho, a high school student who plays the trombone, came and gave us some grapes.

Thank you for always bringing us delicious fruit!

This report started with the gift and ended with the gift. The volunteer concert is coming up soon, so I plan to update the report again soon. I hope you will check it out from time to time.
