We held the second joint practice session!
On September 7th, we held our second joint practice session at Fukushima Minpo Hall!
For the members who hadn't participated in the summer training camp, this was their second practice session, and we saw many members expressing their joy at reuniting with each other after a long time.
This time, we were fortunate to have four alumni members serve as tutors, providing valuable guidance not only on technical skills but also on the right approach to practice. I feel truly blessed to have had this opportunity to learn from these experienced musicians. This morning, we practiced our main piece for this session, "Symphony No. 5 (Beethoven's 'Fate')".
It's a song that everyone has heard before, but when we actually played it, the tempo was faster and more difficult than we imagined. There were many challenges, such as sound pressure and volume balance, and we received careful guidance from our tutors.
And then, lunch break!
It's a really fun time where we can talk a lot with everyone.
"I have a test tomorrow..."
Many of the high school students said this.
Even casual conversation during this time makes me happy.
In the afternoon, we practiced mainly Director Sakamoto's songs.
I am very happy to be able to perform the director's songs again this year.
The director's songs are difficult and complex, but they are all very educational.
After the joint practice, we went to a different venue to practice with members who will be participating in the Sendai Classical Music Festival on October 4th.
Please come along on October 4th!
Stay tuned for our next report!
