TYO 11th KICK OFF!
[Member Report] TYO kicks off for the 11th term!
On July 21st, we held the kickoff for the 11th term of TYO and our first joint practice session. The venue was the Fukushima Minpo Hall, where we are always grateful for your help.
First, we heard from TYO Secretary General Hirokazu Tanaka.
Everyone has heard of the "Tanaka Hirokazu Movement," right? ? ?
This time, Tanaka talked about the history of how the Tanaka Hirokazu Movement was born. He also talked about the importance and necessity of "goals."
During the talk, Tanaka asked,
"What about TYO's goal of performing at the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland...?"
In an instant, the room erupted in excitement. So, will TYO make it onto the world stage...?
We're looking forward to it.
"Don't think that TYO will last forever"
These are the words that Tanaka-san says at every kickoff.
Every time I hear these words, I feel grateful to be able to continue making music as TYO with so many friends. This term, too, it made me think again about how important it is to cherish every practice and concert.
After Tanaka-san's speech, it was time to announce the captain for this season!
Captain Kaitsu from the 9th and 10th seasons announced the captain for this season.
This season's captain is Okuyama Ai from the horn section!!
We look forward to working with you as the 11th captain!
After the kickoff, it was time for everyone's favorite lunch break.
This time, we ate in separate parts.
I want to get to know all the new members' names and faces and become friends with them quickly!
Although we are an individual group, lunchtime is my favorite time. It's a super happy time when I can satiate my tired body and hungry stomach after the morning's gathering.
And...
We also received some gifts from the office staff and JA Kyosai Ren Fukushima!
The temperature in Fukushima has been rising to nearly 40 degrees recently, so the tea gifts are very much appreciated! Thank you so much every year!!
Castella cake from the secretariat!
We actually received this castella cake as a gift at the kickoff of the 10th term, and it's really delicious! It's very moist.
After the lunch break, we had a photo shoot. We all did the TYO T-pose. It was Captain Okuyama's idea!
Everyone looked good. It felt good.
After that, we practiced each part.
In the violin section, we had a competition to hear Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 "Fate," the main piece for this term.
It's a familiar piece, so I thought I would be able to play it, but that wasn't the case. It's very difficult. But I think there is a lot to learn from this piece, so I'll practice hard!!!
The next TYO activity is the summer camp!
I think a report on the summer camp will be posted, so please look forward to it!
We will enjoy ourselves and do our best in the 11th TYO!!!
We appreciate your support!!!
