REPORT

January 25, 2025

The activities for 2025 have begun.

The 7th Joint Training Session was held at Fukushima City on January 18-19.

On the morning of the first day, the string and percussion members practiced ensemble with Mr. Yanagisawa, while the wind instrument members had sectionals during that time.

Some teams were holding internal communication events.

This time, we received tea from JA Kyosai Fukushima and sweets from the Morinaga Angel Foundation!

Sweet treats really hit the spot for tired bodies. The members were absolutely delighted.

The violinists, Kokone Komai and Kōshi Komai, are cousins, it seems. Until a few years ago, I also had a cousin in the orchestra, so I felt a strong sense of familiarity.

During lunchtime, the band members spend their time doing various things.

Some not only eat lunch with their friends but also take a nap, while others play instruments that are not their usual ones.

It's one of the great things about TYO that you can see so many ways of spending time.

In the afternoon, we had a group rehearsal.

Then, two familiar faces appeared.

Former members Ryusuke Kaneko and Haruka Watanabe came to share the news of their marriage!
Congratulations to them on their wedding!

In January and February, we have practice for two consecutive days, so members who are from outside Fukushima and those who live far away within the prefecture will be staying overnight.

On the second day, just like the first day, the string and percussion members practiced ensemble with Mr. Yanagisawa, while the wind instrument members had sectional rehearsals with Mr. Takeda from TYO Fukushima Office.

At lunch, we received a bento donation from JA Kyosai Fukushima!

Thank you so much!

The tamagoyaki had the perfect amount of sauce soaked into it, and it was delicious!

In the afternoon, we took breaks and practiced ensemble with the wind instrument members included.

There are only a few days left until the performance, but we're working hard to make sure the concert will be amazing!

This is Satoka Ishikawa from the flute section.

There is only one more joint rehearsal before the concert. Although there is little time left until the March performance, let’s continue practicing while taking care of our health.

General ticket sales for the concert began on Saturday, January 25th! Please make sure to check it out.
