It's a clear day in Miyakojima. I met conductor Toshio Yanagisawa for the first time and started practicing for this evening's concert.

The program consisted of Sibelius' "Finlandia" and "The Last Emperor" by Ryuichi Sakamoto, the director of the Tohoku Youth Orchestra. Yesterday's visit to the island was featured in the Miyako Mainichi Shimbun newspaper.
