[Ryuichi Sakamoto Memorial Regular Concert 2024] Morioka is over, tomorrow is Sendai!
[ Ryuichi Sakamoto MemorialConcert 2024] Morioka is over, tomorrow is Sendai!
The Iwate performance will be on Saturday, March 23rd.
The dress rehearsal before the performance has begun.
For the first time, this memorial performance will involve projecting images onto a screen.
The recordings that will be constantly shown during the performance include some previously unreleased material, making this a must-see for fans of Ryuichi Sakamoto.
An alumna from Iwate Prefecture came to help out.
Torii, who played the oboe, moved from Miyako City where he works, and Iwabuchi, who is from Morioka City, will be a medical student this spring. I was surprised at how grown-up she was, saying, "She was such an innocent child..." and enjoyed my usual uncle-like reaction.
He was in charge of sales in the lobby, along with Mr. Suga from the Tokyo office and Mr. Otsuka from the Fukushima office.
In front of the sales floor, our reliable alumnus "Dandy" Abe-kun was shouting out to attract customers.
The members of the troupe gathered in the wings of the stage.
Three brass ladies!
TYO's Lu Seraphim!!
It's a rule that if you point the camera at people clumsily, they'll start to gather.
It seems that even the host, Watanabe Mari, has been dragged into this.
I did say, "Even though it's a memorial concert, let's have fun!"
And then the opening song began.
The string members will also join in from the second song.
A stop-motion photo.
Some people are making peace signs the whole time.
The show ended in a flash.
Captain Kaizu and Taguchi, a native of Morioka City, being interviewed by the Iwate Nippo newspaper. They've really grown up.
Thank you to Masahiro Watanabe, the committee member who was interviewed by NHK's alumni director Kikuchi. Today was the best performance of this season by TYO.
OG Torii-san, who was with us from the 1st to 3rd term, horn player Kikuno Kanayoshi, who has been with us for 9 years since the 1st term, and OB Dandy, who is 27 and looking for a girlfriend. Thank you for your hard work!
Here's the standard announcement.
Tickets are still available for the concerts in Sendai (guest: Non-san) tomorrow, the 24th (Sun) and in Koriyama (guest: Yoshinaga Sayuri-san) on the 30th (Sat). It takes just over an hour and a half to get from Tokyo to Sendai on the Hayabusa. The only official memorial concert for director Ryuichi Sakamoto! The footage also includes plenty of unreleased material, such as photos from his private archives and footage of his days with members of the Tohoku Youth Orchestra.
Tomorrow's Sendai performance is sure to be TYO's best performance this season.
