October Joint Training Session Report

On Sunday, October 8th, we held a joint practice session at the Fukushima Minpo Hall.

It's October now and the autumn air has suddenly arrived in Fukushima. Mt. Azuma Kofuji does not appear to be covered in snow yet.

On this day, the sections had a rehearsal led by teachers from the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

The instructor,

Violin/Viola: Masayuki Miyagawa (Vn.)

Cello and double bass: Ryo Takebayashi (Vc.)

Woodwinds: Shinichi Arai (Cl.)

Brass: Jun Furuno (Hr.)

Percussion: Yuko Funasako

In addition to practicing the songs, we were also given lectures on how to play and practice.

After practice, the area in front of Fukushima Station was abuzz with activity as participants took part in the Fukushima Autumn Festival floats.
