The practice pieces are "El Mar Mediterrani" and "Time is Tilt" composed by director Ryuichi Sakamoto.

And at the end, they performed "ETUDE" for the first time in a while. The applause echoed throughout the song, bringing back memories.

During the lunch break and after practice, the performance team for the Sendai Classic Festival (Senkura), which is scheduled to feature a volunteer performance on Saturday, September 30th, was practicing.

◇What is Senkura?

The Sendai Classical Festival, affectionately known as "Senkura," is a classical music festival held every autumn.

It was launched during the three-day holiday in October 2006 as a "music festival that anyone can enjoy," as part of the 20th anniversary event of the Sendai City Cultural Foundation.

Sendai has a professional orchestra. In addition, the Sendai International Music Competition, which attracts young talented musicians from around the world, is held every three years. There are also many musical groups that love opera and choruses.

We started with the idea of making classical music enjoyable and accessible to more people. Since then, we have received many requests to continue the event, and it has been gradually renewed, and has now grown into an event that is said to be a seasonal feature of autumn in Sendai.

During the three days of the Sendai Classical Music Festival, venues in Sendai city will be filled with classical music. You can enjoy the festival according to your lifestyle, whether that be going to multiple performances to catch your favorite music, checking out a performance while shopping, or immersing yourself in music with your children.
