[November joint practice session: 1st day section practice]

[November joint practice session: 1st day section practice]

The practice will take place over two days, from Saturday, November 19th to Sunday, November 20th.

On the first day, instructors from the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra gave instruction to each section.

Practice is divided into groups for 1st violin, 2nd violin, viola, low strings (cello and double bass), percussion, woodwinds, and brass.

The instructor for 1st violin is Kyoko Sakari.

The instructor for 2nd violin is Kasane Kashiwagi.

The viola instructor is Akiaki Shigemitsu.

This season, the number of viola members is originally small,
Since there were some absentees today, we had the luxury of a one-on-one lesson.

The instructor for the low strings is cellist Takebayashi Ryo.

The percussion instructor is Kazuhiko Takano.

The woodwind instructor is bassoonist Junichi Mori.

The brass instructor is horn player Yusuke Saito.

This time, the section practice was divided into more groups than usual, so there were not enough rooms in the Fukushima Minpo Hall.
The brass section used Shirayuri Kindergarten, about a 15-minute walk from Minpo Hall, as their practice space.

The teachers were murmuring, "This song is difficult..."
He carefully explained each part and gave detailed instructions.

Thank you to all the instructors.

Section practice ends at 3 p.m.

After that, we practiced only with the members who will be taking part in the volunteer performance scheduled for next week on the 26th.

Alumni will also be participating in this volunteer concert as helpers.

Cello Ootsuka works as a homeroom teacher for a fifth grade elementary school student.
On this day, they brought some gifts to Fukushima Minpo Hall for practice for the volunteer performance.

Practice ended just after 4:30 p.m.

This time, we will practice for two days on Saturday and Sunday.
Members who are not from Fukushima will be able to stay at a hotel in Koriyama City if they so wish.
We will travel together by Shinkansen.

Koriyama is about one bullet train stop away from Fukushima city.
Due to the Fukushima Racecourse and the nationwide travel discount,
All the hotels in Fukushima city were fully booked, so we ended up staying at a hotel in Koriyama.

We will report on what happened from the second day onwards in a report to be posted at a later date.
