It's been a while since we last updated the Tohoku Youth Orchestra News.

It's been a while. We weren't just wasting our time, but the secretariat was making plans for this year's activities and making various adjustments to them. What do we mean by "adjustments"? We were doing all sorts of miscellaneous things, such as adjusting schedules, adjusting opinions, adjusting budgets, and adjusting internal affairs. We have finally reached the stage where we can announce our future activities and recruit additional members. I will leave it at that, saying that this year's summer training camp will be heading north, that the second concert will be multiple performances, and that the program will be difficult, but here is an introduction to this weekend's TV programs.

The program that was aired on NHK WORLD, the international broadcasting service of NHK, immediately after the first concert in March this year will be translated from English to Japanese and broadcast on NHK BS1 along with four other episodes of the Tohoku reconstruction. The date is Sunday the 12th, but it actually feels like a 50-minute program that starts at midnight on Saturday the 11th.
