The Tohoku Youth Orchestra has successfully completed the second day of their pre-performance training camp in Morioka ahead of their first concert of the 2019 Tohoku Youth Orchestra, which will be held on Saturday the 30th.
Thanks to you, we have had no major injuries or illnesses so far this year.
Please rest assured to all parents.
Mari Watanabe has been the MC for seven consecutive concerts as a volunteer, starting with the concert for the instrument restoration project in the disaster area, which was the predecessor of the Tohoku Youth Orchestra. Today, despite her busy schedule, she came to the touch-and-go site for about an hour to encourage the practice. Thank you!
We are grateful to receive custom-made dorayaki with the Tohoku Youth Orchestra engraved on them as a gift every year, and we collaborated with Fukuda Bread, a local Morioka specialty, to create a three-shot photo with director Ryuichi Sakamoto and conductor Toshio Yanagisawa.
This year, Hirokazu Tanaka from the secretariat has handed over the daily report duties to his juniors and has been casually uploading snapshots from the daily life.
