This is a progress report on the crowdfunding campaign.

This is a progress report on the crowdfunding campaign.

hello everyone.

I'm Karin Hashimoto, in charge of crowdfunding.

Today, we would like to report on the progress of our crowdfunding campaign.

The JapanGiving crowdfunding campaign " We want to bring music to the disaster-stricken areas - Tohoku Youth Orchestra Volunteer Performance 2018 " began on Monday, October 15th, and as of today, has received a total of 405,500 yen from 19 people, reaching 59% of its goal.

Thank you very much for your support.

Among the 18 people were people associated with the Tohoku Youth Orchestra, including its music director, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and I was reminded once again that the orchestra is truly made possible thanks to the support of so many people.

The member report, updated on October 9th, features an interview with Director Sakamoto by Nakamura, a fourth-year university student and trumpet player from Miyagi Prefecture.

In the interview, he said, "Regarding the volunteer activities, just the fact that that activity happened made it meaningful to start Tohoku Youth. I'm glad I started it."

There was a sentence that said:

I was very happy to hear these words, but having actually received support from Director Sakamoto this time has given me a renewed sense of his feelings and has given me a renewed sense of determination to make our volunteer concerts even more active.

Also, I'm sorry to say this after talking about Director Sakamoto, but my mother also supported me.

And then, I sent emails and LINE messages to people I know.

"There is an organization called the Tohoku Youth Orchestra."

"We're touring the disaster-stricken areas and giving volunteer concerts."

"We are calling for support using the same method as hometown tax donations."

He called out to me, saying,

My mother said, "I want to support my children and their friends because they are working hard."

*Different from the actual LINE.

I would like to continue the volunteer concert activities that are supported and encouraged by Director Sakamoto, the secretariat, and the guardians of the members, including my parents. With the cooperation of all the members, especially those in charge of the concert, and with everyone's help, I would like to make the volunteer concerts more fulfilling.

Furthermore, we would like to eventually deliver music that only we, who have experienced the Great East Japan Earthquake, can deliver to people in disaster-stricken areas not only affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, but also by the Kumamoto earthquake, the heavy rains in Western Japan, and the Hokkaido Eastern Iburi earthquake.

To achieve this, we need your support and cooperation.

We are accepting support for the volunteer concert through crowdfunding until 22:00 on November 30th. Thank you very much.
