Please support our volunteer concerts!

Please support our volunteer concerts!

hello everyone!

I'm Karin Hashimoto, in charge of crowdfunding.

Crowdfunding for this season began on Monday, October 15th.

The purpose of the crowdfunding campaign is to ease the burden of hosting voluntary concerts, which are attended by people from elementary school students to university students at their own expense, and to create an environment where anyone can easily participate, so that more members can take part in voluntary concerts in more places.

The Volunteer Concerts began with the desire to deliver music to victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and bring smiles to their faces. However, because all members are self-funded, elementary and junior high school members cannot afford transportation costs with their limited pocket money, and university students from far away cannot attend the Volunteer Concerts because of the large transportation costs. Without participants, we cannot hold Volunteer Concerts and deliver music. Is there a way to break through this and have as many people as possible see us and deliver music and smiles to as many victims as possible? And so we began calling for support for Volunteer Concerts using crowdfunding.

Holding voluntary concerts is an important activity for us, not only because it allows us to deliver music to people across the country, including those in the disaster-stricken areas, but also because by participating in voluntary concerts ourselves, we can learn about ways of thinking about the disaster-stricken areas, the current state of disaster prevention and reconstruction, and because it allows people across the country to see how we are working hard through music.

This year's volunteer concerts saw an increase of 19 participants (total number of people) from 38 to 57 (including the volunteer concert scheduled for November 24th) compared to last year, and the number of concerts increased by one from four to five (including the volunteer concert scheduled for November 24th). In addition, more concerts were held in Tokyo this year, and we believe that we were able to show the people of the Kanto region how they have overcome the Great East Japan Earthquake and are living strong lives.

However, in order for us to carry out these activities, our own efforts are not enough and we need your cooperation. We want to use the power of music to help with the recovery, and when we go out into society, we want to become people who can lead the recovery of our hometowns.

If you agree with our activities or can empathize with them, please support us.

This season's crowdfunding will be conducted through two channels: JapanGiving , the same as last year, and Campfire , a new crowdfunding channel introduced this year.

Starting this year, we will be introducing a crowdfunding campaign at Campfire, where we will ask for support with a fixed amount each month, and will give you a gift every month. We are currently in the process of preparing this, but we would like to send you information about volunteer concerts and members' activities that we cannot normally send you in the form of an e-mail newsletter. (We will let you know as soon as it is ready.)

The JapanGiving crowdfunding campaign " We want to bring music to the disaster-stricken areas - Tohoku Youth Orchestra Volunteer Performance 2018 " began on October 15th and has a goal of raising 680,000 yen over the 46 days leading up to November 30th!

This is a huge amount and we could not achieve it without your help.

Therefore, for this crowdfunding campaign, in addition to the no-return (no gifts) system used last year, we have decided to use some of the gifts from the regular concert held in March of last year as the returns for this season's crowdfunding.

8,000 yen for a set of TYO logo stickers in white and black (limited to 50 sets)

Cotton bag for 15,000 yen (limited to 20)

is.

The price is higher than last year's regular concert, but we would appreciate your support from those who were unable to receive one at last year's regular concert, and those who found it so useful that they would like another one.

In addition, we are currently introducing the recommended ways to use the return items and how members normally use them in the activity report on the campaign page!

"How much can it actually be used?" "What kind of uses can it be used for?"

If you wonder,

"I bought it for our regular concert in March, but I wonder how other people are using it?"

If you wondered,

Please take a look at the activity report on the campaign page .

Below is a Q&A.

●What is crowdfunding?

To put it very simply, it is "donations that can be made over the Internet."

●To support crowdfunding

There are two main ways to support crowdfunding.

The first is to spread the word about the campaign. Spread the word about the campaign on social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and LINE, as well as through email and blogs. This is a free way to support the campaign. You can spread the word by tapping the icon at the bottom of the campaign page. (See the video for instructions.)

↑Please select the app mark you want to share from the five options.

The second way is to support the campaign. Tap "Support" on the campaign screen and follow the instructions on the screen to select the amount of support. You can start from 500 yen. Although you will need a credit card, you can start right away from anywhere. (Please watch the video to learn how.)
