It's the morning of the second day of summer training camp.

It's the morning of the second day of summer training camp.

It's a cloudy morning on the slopes of Kita Shiga Kogen, where there are no skiers, but the temperature is expected to rise to nearly 30 degrees today.

Today we will start at 9am and practice playing Brahms' Symphony No. 2 from the first movement.

Since yesterday, Masayuki Miyagawa, principal second violin of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, has been joining us and performing alongside the orchestra members.

Sometimes we receive individual instruction on the violin or viola, making for a luxurious practice session.

The man wearing white glasses playing the trombone is Yutaka Watanabe from the Fukushima office. He is an alumnus of Fukushima Television's FTV Junior Orchestra and currently runs a musical instrument store called Brilliant in Fukushima City, but due to a shortage of part-time members, he is also participating in this training camp as a player.

As if a comment made by the youngest brother at dinner yesterday was a prophecy, the eldest brother, who plays tuba, overslept in the morning...

He seemed fine in the multipurpose room after practice last night.

The eldest son, Yuta, brought along a local sake called Kotobuki from Iwaki City. The brewery has been in Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture since the Edo period, but moved to Iwaki City after the earthquake and tsunami, and now makes sake using ingredients from Yamagata Prefecture. It was a pure rice sake with a refreshing yet rich flavor. Please take a look.

Let's have a drink, recover in moderation, and practice hard today!
