The first day of the Tohoku Youth Orchestra Concert 2017 in Tokyo has ended without a hitch. After the main performance of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 1, the cheers and applause rang out without stopping. The "Malaichi stop" that I was worried about three days ago did not happen. I instinctively took this photo while checking the state of the stage from the wings on the left side of the stage. It's very blurry, but it resembled the image from my watery retina, so I decided to make it the photo of the day. Now that the first day's performance has ended, searching for "Tohoku Youth" on social media is quite moving.
However, we must not let our guard down. We hope that the performance in Koriyama, Fukushima Prefecture tomorrow, the 26th, will be a truly "triumphant return" and that the performance will be even better than today.
