On the second day of the joint practice in January, we started with tuning by concert mistress Masahiro Watanabe. First, we practiced "Three Tohoku Songs," which is an arrangement by Dai Fujikura of Nanbu Yoshare, Tairyo Utagikomi, and Soma Bon Uta. Conductor Toshio Yanagisawa said, "It's a difficult, excellent score."
