Volunteer Concert at Futaba-machi Town
9/28 Activity Report
This time, the trumpet part of Senon WAGATSUMA, who has been a member of TYO for three years, presents a report on the group!
There were 10 members who participated this time. We performed with a very lively group!
The location was Futaba Super Zero Mill Air Kaoru Futaba Maru. The temperature was quite cool and felt like autumn!
This time, as in the previous event, the Fukushima office is run by Yutaka Watanabe, who is also the Fukushima office manager,
We had a rehearsal at the Brilliant Culture Space “ideal” run by Mr. Yutaka Watanabe, a member of the Fukushima Office.
Practicing for the performance. They are very serious.
If you ever have a chance to practice in Fukushima, please come and visit us!
Brilliant” HP (Musical instrument specialty store)
After the rehearsal, we headed to the Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Legacy Museum.
Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Museum HP
This museum deals in depth with the nuclear disaster caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake that we experienced. There are a variety of materials and items that are of great interest.
There is a terrace on the rooftop where you can see the ocean and feel the sea breeze!
Even though I actually experienced the disaster, there were so many things that I didn't know about it.
I hope you will visit there, too.
In the free space on the first floor, there is a space where you can make cherry blossoms with stamps!
They turned out beautifully, didn't they?
Also, outside the museum, a festival was being held, and everyone had a chance to spin the gacha-gacha (Japanese pinball machine).
What a miracle, 3 out of 12 participants won A prizes! It was a miracle that 3 out of 12 participants won A prizes!
After the tour of the museum, it was time for the performance.
The MC this time was Mei OKUYAMA, on the French horn, and myself, on the trumpet!
The solo of Yae no Sakura was performed by Satoka ISHIKAWA. It was a very beautiful performance!
The last song we played was “Hana ha Saku” (Flowers are Blooming). It is a charity song written for the reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake. All the members put their feelings into the song.
After the performance, we changed the schedule a little and went back to the museum to watch the fireworks.
They are beautiful!
I remember very well how beautiful the fireworks were!
Through this volunteer concert, we were able to deepen our understanding of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and I believe that we were able to grow even more as a TYO! We would like to hold more concerts like this one to make our existence known and to be able to support the hearts of many more people.
Thank you for reading to the end.
