Prayers for peace and restoration

Today I visited the Sukagawa City Museum. From May 12th, a special exhibition called "Master of Japanese Painting: Toshio Matsuo - Painting the Brilliance of Life" is being held here. From 2pm, there was a special museum concert called "Prayer for Peace and Reconstruction" and a reading of some of Toshio Matsuo's finest essays. The photo was taken after the performance. Today, there was a string quartet of the four people pictured, a reading by Masanori Taichu, and a piano performance by Yuka Matsuo. The performance and reading, set amongst a painting of peonies on display in the museum, was a truly wonderful experience that you don't usually get to experience.
